Full MCP

Connect your AI editor to Nuitee Connect over MCP — agents can search docs, call the API, and help you ship booking flows.

Need docs and product knowledge only (no live booking tools)? Use Docs MCP at https://mcp.liteapi.travel/api/knowledge.

Connect the MCP server when an agent should call Nuitee Connect itself: search docs, list endpoints, and run sample API calls. To have the agent write the booking app in your repo, install Skills for coding agents instead.

The server works in Cursor, Windsurf, and Claude.

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that allows AI applications to securely access external data sources and tools. The Nuitee Connect MCP server provides AI agents with:

  • Direct API access to Nuitee Connect functionality
  • Documentation search capabilities
  • Real-time data from your Nuitee Connect account
  • Code generation assistance for Nuitee Connect integrations

OAuth

Lovable, Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can use OAuth instead of a pasted key. Set the server URL to https://mcp.liteapi.travel/api/mcp and choose OAuth. Leave the client id and client secret empty so the app can register itself.

The browser opens Nuitée Connect. If you are already signed in at connect.nuitee.com, that session is the one that approves the connection. Pick sandbox or production on that screen. The assistant then calls the API as that account. It never sees the API key.

Nuitee Connect MCP Server Setup

The server is https://mcp.liteapi.travel/api/mcp.

Send the key on the X-API-Key header. For sample calls, use the shared sandbox key sand_ca230deb-5a6b-42e7-bb72-869facd8892b. Replace it with your own key to use your account. ?apiKey= and Authorization: Bearer also work. The header wins if more than one is set. Prefer the header so the key is not stored in access logs.

A connection with no key can return 401 unauthorized on a tool call. Put the sandbox key on the header. These tools are included either way:

  • list_endpoints searches the API catalog
  • describe_endpoint returns the HTTP contract for one endpoint
  • search_docs and fetch_docs_page read pages on https://docs.liteapi.travel
  • fetch_documentation loads a curated OpenAPI/docs key (searchApi, bookingApi, …)
  • search_dashboard_kb and fetch_dashboard_feature read Nuitee Connect product guides (dashboard UI / how-to)

For documentation only (no live hotel/flight API tools), use Docs MCP at https://mcp.liteapi.travel/api/knowledge — the same seven discovery tools, no execute tools, no API key.

To have the agent write an app, install Skills for coding agents. That skill keeps the API key on your server. Full MCP is for calling the API from the agent.

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "nuitee-connect": {
      "url": "https://mcp.liteapi.travel/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "X-API-Key": "sand_ca230deb-5a6b-42e7-bb72-869facd8892b"
      }
    }
  }
}

Replace the sandbox key with your own key to use your account.

Testing Your MCP Setup

  1. Open your AI editor (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude).
  2. Start a new chat.
  3. Ask it to list hotel rates for a city this weekend, or to describe POST /hotels/rates.

The sandbox key returns sample data. Your own key uses your account. For a booking site in your repo, use Skills for coding agents instead of asking MCP to generate the app.
